Air travelers without a Real ID-compliant driver's license or passport will be required to pay a fee to get through airport security. The TSA announced Monday that starting on Feb. 1, 2026, travelers who do not present an acceptable form of identification may opt to pay the fee and verify their identity through TSA’s alternative identity verification system, known as Confirm ID.
