Yes! POPPY! She’s eating! This little lass had the heaviest lungworm burden I’ve seen in my 7 years of Hedgehog rescue! Little lady also has a huge roundworm burden and today, checking another sample, I found coccidia & Fluke too, as well as having severe dehydration just to top it all! Dangers to hedgehogs who have made a nest under the pile you intend to burn. Please deconstruct the pile and move it slightly to make sure there are no hibernating hedgehogs or hoglets who are sleeping. We rescues see a number of hedgehogs every year who have been burnt, some don’t make it as they are burned to death. Please help us prevent any injuries or deaths of any hedgehogs this year.
