Michigan State hockey returns to Big Ten play for the first time in over a month on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. No. 2 Michigan State will head to Ohio State for a two-game weekend series, starting on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first conference game since early December.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said former Spartans star Paul Davis deserved his ejection from the stands during Monday night's game against USC.

Ferris State redshirt junior H-back Carson Gulker, who does a little bit of everything, is transferring to join the Spartans, according to multiple reports on Wednesday night. He played a variety of offensive positions for the Bulldogs, who have won back-to-back Division II national titles and four of the last five.

Michigan State football has earned their 18th commitment of the transfer portal season, beefing up the interior of their defensive line. The Spartans have added Toledo DT transfer Carlos Hazelwood into the class. The Markham, Ill. native will bring three years of eligibility with him to East Lansing.

Michigan Wolverines quarterback Mikey Keene has committed to transfer to the Arizona State Sun Devils, On3 has learned. He previously played for the UCF Knights and the Fresno State Bulldogs. Keene spent one season at Michigan in 2025.
