Cold weather will persist across Southwest and Central Virginia through the next several days. It will be a bitterly cold start to Tuesday—morning temperatures will range from just below zero to the lower teens.
Bitter cold Arctic air will lock in through the week and into the weekend as well bringing a long run of well below normal temps. Temps will be cold enough early Tuesday to warrant a First Alert Weather Day for through Tuesday morning.
